I too have Sara Jones.

Sent my Form 4 paperwork off in June, went pending a month later in July, got my suppressor last week.

Basically, it's 1 month until pending and 4 months after you go pending.

5 months.

well that tracker was a little disappointing. seems like i have chris farris. she covers 8 states, and has the slowest time out of anybody.. i will be sending my stuff off monday.

You in Michigan, plunge? Yeah, that kind of sucks. I think the fact that Michigan ONLY allowed Machine guns at the time of the reassignment was one of the reasons you got an examiner with 7 other states. Now you guys are pretty screwed.

yep in michigan. thats the same reason i thought

Just got word yesterday that the workload for my processor, Sara Jones, is so full that they are just now approving the applications who's tax stamp checks were cashed back in June!!

Bummer, probably explains why my two (checks cashed June 20) aren't here. Was getting a bit concerned, so this thread has saved me a phone call for now.

I got the call today. Both the trust change over and ok for sbr colt and new can is in. Sent in july 02, pending 20th. in today nov 28th. almost 5 months. Now if rain/ flood/snow stops can go try out.

SBR Stamp

Sent first week of June 2011. Check cashed the following week. Pending on July 25th. Nothing yet.

I think it has little to do with the examiner and more about their caseload. Examiner A may cover 5 states, Examiner B, 2 states. That doesn't mean Examiner B will be faster. In fact, it has more to do with volume of application. Texas and Florida are the two states with the highest volume of NFA purchases. I forget where I saw this data, but I remember Texas averaging 3500+ suppressor purchases for 2010. The previous years were around 1500 suppressors purchased.

Simple NFA Tracker calculator - http://www.randominfo.net/NFA/NfaWait.php

I am waiting on 3 suppressors (.22LR, 5.56, 45 ACP). All three were paid for in End of February '11 or beginning of March '11 going through a trust. One tax stamp check was on dealer so no telling when that was cashed, but the two that were mine were cashed 07/21/2011 and 08/02/2011. According to this calculator I should start receiving my stamps back sometime in October or November (based upon the % of likelihood). Still waiting....
Picked up two of three suppressors tonight. Checks cashed around 07/21 or 08/02 (one received today and the other I am still waiting on). The second suppressor I picked up had the stamp check on the dealer. The current wait time the NFA is giving out is upwards of 12 months!! Nothing short of ridiculous!!

Had my dealer send in my form 4 End of February '11, dealer received notice of my trust going into "problem-ed" status 01/19/12 and then, without further resolve, received the approved paperwork 01/23/12. Out of 3 cans, this was the first one to be sent in for approval and the last one to get back. Total time elapsed from paying for it to receiving it... 11 MONTHS!!:uhoh:

My check was cashed Nov 30 2011, went pending Dec 2 2011 and was told time pending to approved is about 6 months. I deploy to afghanistan end of may/early june, so that pretty much sucks. looks like it'll be a while until i actually shoot it. I might have to order another so by the time i get back that one will be waiting for me also.

Ended up being 5 months from the date it went pending. Had a slight delay when they did not like the model number of the Kahr Thompson. Ready to go shooting!
