A buddy of mine does reenactments and has several black powder rifles, including a .75 caliber Brown Bess Musket, a .69 caliber Charleville Musket, and a 3 band Enfield .58 caliber Rifle. About once every few months he brings them all out to shoot.
The .75 and the .69 shoot three shot groups into minute of garbage can lid at 100 yards , but the .58 will shoot three shots inside a paper plate at 300 yards. Even more fun is blowing up one gallon milk jugs filled with water.
