I have thought about this basically all of my life. What gun if I could choose from a genie, and have it in my hands would I choose?

This is hard because I have two that are tough to choose between.

1) being a full auto Tommy gun.
2) Select fire Browning BAR

If I could find that genie. I think I would choose the full auto Tommy gun. Something about putting .45 ACP down range at that speed in a carbine sized rifle is just complete Americano. So is the BAR, but it is very heavy and long.
My dad was issued a BAR in Vietnam in 1965. He also had a full auto Tommy gun when he came home from Vietnam, but sold it when times got hard after his first son was born.

So my choice would be a full auto Tommy gun.

What would be your wish to the gun genie be?

This Single Action Army .45, U.S. was one of the revolvers from the last Government Contract. The Factory Letter shows it being delivered in 1890. Serial No. 13398X is in incredibly fine condition. It has overall 98%+ of all the original Colt factory finish in blue, with all the screw heads retaining 99% or more, of their fire blue color. The hammer, and frame have 95%+ of all their case hardening colors. The barrel address and ALL other Colt markings, such as frame patents, Serial Numbers, Military Inspector marks( both wood and metal), are crisp, and very distinct to the eye. ALL Serial numbers are matching, including the cylinder and the grips. The walnut grips are smooth and show virtually no wear, with clear cartouches. ALL mechanical functions are crisp and exact: safety cock, half cock, full cock, and the cylinder rotates and indexes correctly with each and every pull of the hammer. The trigger releases properly for firing. A more than superb example of a Single Action U.S. 45, as issued to the U.S. Cavalry. It is also significant in the fact it is from the LAST contract. PRICE $27,500 SALE PRICE $19,950

I'm a bit of a softy for SAA Colts especially Original ones in shape such as that!

I really want a full auto thompson. Its my dream gun.

Realistically im looming to purchase a kimer covert custom 2

For just ANY gun - I'd want a custom built hunting rifle. Exhibition grade walnut stock, hand-cut fluer-de-lis checkering, shadow-line cheek piece, inset sling studs, Niedner steel butt-plate, European style "schnabel" forend. For the metal traditional rust-blued with a helically fluted barrel and bolt. Some scroll-work on the floor-plate but not all over the rifle. I'd have to think long and hard about what I'd want it chambered in but it would probably be something a little odd and middle of the road in power. Possibly .300 Savage.

That's something I really would want, but don't think I could ever bring myself to lay down the money on even if I had it, so in a "your wish is my command" scenario I think that would be a gun-wish well spent :).

(in no particular order):

- A nice, CLEAN M1 Garand
- S&W 629-5 or later w/ fluted cyl. and 2.5" bbl.
- S&W 586 in above configuration
- Another 1911A1
- Marlin Camp .45
- Savage 99C (.308)

You guys are thinking small.

I want a cannon.

Preferably mounted on a WWII tank.

Or perhaps a Navy Destroyer or Cruiser.

I would like the end of the Obama presidency. Or the appointment of a real American who believes in the Constitution as the next Supreme Court justice.

I know, I probably broke a rule there. But you asked what I wanted for Christmas. Sorry. Now I'll probably only get coal.

Murphy, I have a couple a cannons in the collection. Old black powder deals, along with some Winchesters that shoot 10ga blanks. Winchesters are fun and affordable and safe. They're a good place to start if you want to try out some cannon fun. Contact me directly if you'd like. We can talk.

Two things, both unachievable without mega-genie power:
H&K 9mm MP5. With many maxed out mags. Why? I almost bought one before the ban, just for the sheer greatness of the machinery. Still would for the same reason;
THinking big, a rail gun, with appropriate power supply. Nothing like slinging heavy projectiles off the deck using 'the way of the future' power. High amperage, mega computing power for switching and aiming computation, and destroying very large objects from afar. Kinda like having your own CERN, but straight as an arrow! Why search for the god particle when you can act like one??

I can't believe I am going to say this and I will probably meet with a shrink tomorrow after saying it out loud....but the next one on my wish list is a Glock:eek:

I have most everything else and I do have a couple of plastic guns, but I do not have a Glock. I feel I need one to see what the fuss is about.

Called my shrink and booked you for an immediate emergency appointment tomorrow. :D

Flammenwerfer 35 as everyone knows flamethrowers are awesome, and its a piece of history.

A true blued (not modern black) S&W model 10 in perfect condition.

My absolute dream gun would be an original M14, but I would settle for a nice custom built M1a.

And if it was a 3 wish genie throw in a Les Baer 1911, and a really nice shiny NIB 4" Colt Python.

Or some world peace and stuff.
