...when a person says they would refuse to shoot someone threatening their life?

I'd have to figure people are entitled to believe their lives aren't worth defending. Their lives, their choices.

My only problem is that so many of them believe they're entitled to prevent me from defending my life.

They must have very low self worth. That's like saying they wouldn't move out of the path of an oncoming train.
Fine, that's their choice. Don't you dare force it on me though.

no guts no glory also a dumbass like someone else already said and probably should most definitely not be carrying a gun for selfdefense if their afraid to pull the trigger

It's a free country - people can do any stupid thing they want. It's dumb and flies in the face of reason, but it's their choice. People make lots of really bad choices.

I have had this said to me many times. I always assure the speaker that if I ever see them or theirs being mugged/murdered/beaten/raped that I will pass by with my gun still in its holster. I respect thier beliefs.

That they will die the first time that someone tries to kill them.

I call them "brother in law". The moron flat out said at a family dinner he would let an intruder rape his wife before he killed them because he understands the true value of life.

Course I think he wears makeup too......the sister in law married him because he had good taste in clothes :)

What would probably happen is, in that split second when they make up they're mind that "HELL YES" I"m going to defend myself, they'll be too late or un-prepared. On the opposite side is the character that see's a threat behind evey breath, draws and makes a total mess of everything. Proper trainning and state of mind means everything. Or at least I hope so.

PS. Anybody tries to harm my wife, gets the whole cylinder. Including the re-load!!

I have this argument with my mom all the time. She says she could only kill to protect my brother and I, not her or anyone else. ***?

Was your sister present?! Good lord! If that doesn't inspire divorce I don't know what does. Ugh.

WTH? In my opinion, protecting one's spouse is sort of important as well...

Oh yeah. She told her father he wasn't allowed in their house if he was wearing his duty weapon (he's a Colorado deputy).

Yeah that side of the family tree apparently doesn't have any branches.
