I looked into that, but even the brass is next to impossible to locate---not to mention that I already have a butt-load of 30-06.

Lack of available low cost ammo is why the .405 version of this rifle is easy to find while the much more practical 30-06 versions are scarce and bring top dollar.

She was tagged at $299 and had been sitting on the shelf for a few months. I'd looked at it early on, but passed at that price, even though she's pretty clean. I took her home for $250 out the door and am pleased with that deal. Seems like they are going for around $250 (rough) to $300 (decent) on Gunbroker, but then you'd have to pay shipping and FFL fee.
