What is the last gun that you bought?

My latest is a Remington 40X Stainless/synthetic in 223.

I was also gifted a 1917 and a 1918 30-06 cartridge and 3 boxes of 20 each 1941, 1943 and 1944 30-06 cartridges, all military headstamps. (for my collection)

Stopped by one of the LGS today and picked up a Henry .22LR carbine that was on sale. Me thinks it'll be good for the squirrels and other small pests around the house....Additionally, as I was waiting for the background check to go through (usually takes no more than 20 minutes or so) I browsed the ammo shelves and almost had another seizure when I came across 2 (20rd) boxes of Norma Whitetail 6.5 Creedmoor for the Savage. All in all a good shopping day. Henry .22LR.jpg

Glock 29 10mm with 3 mags. I've wanted one of these power houses for years for personal carry and finally pulled the trigger!

I don't believe I will be disappointed.

You won’t be! Amazing pistol. I wish I kept mine and just carried it and shot 40SW out of it. Probably one of the best shooting, with 40s, I’ve done besides my G26. Would have to go to the timer to see which was I did the best with. It’s that good!

And with 10mm it’s not bad either. But today’s 10mms are not that much faster than some 40s, in certain Brands. I had some 10mm 175gr Silvertips from the 80s I shot through my G29 one day. We had finished shooting the rest of my FMJs and I just remembered these in my ammo box. Touched off one of the Silvertips and the flame went halfway to the target 10 yards away! That got EVERYONE’S attention! I’m like, pump the brakes TJ Hooker! LOL saved the rest of the box for werewolves and Sasquatches.

To add, I know there are factory’s loading of 10mm that are far more powerful than the 40 SW. I just get what I could get around my little rural area at the time. And I really couldn’t tell too much between the two in the G29.

Is it safe to shoot 40 S&W out of a 10mm ? Is there danger of breaking the extractor? I have a G20, 29, and 40 but never used anything but 10mm in them.

Feel free to shoot your .40 S&W rounds out of your 10 mm. The pressure will be a lot less. Bullet diameter is the same. As long as you get good ignition you could use them to have less expensive fun.
