What is the last gun that you bought?

I bought quiet a bit of ammo in 2017. Didn't see any pieces that tickled my fancy until I held a Glock 43 in December. My wife, mom and mother-in-law went in and bought one for me. Just not seeing things I like as much anymore.

I bought an early 80's Savage 110E in .243 with a basic Simmons 3-9x40... from a friend. He hadn't shot it in 12 years. I cleaned it and put 4 shots on a 10 of Hearts at 100 yds. I feel fortunate to have gotten a really good deal!

Here are the ones I bought since May 2017

GSG 1911-22 (.22LR)

I acquire guns more often than I visit this thread. I don't remember which one(s) I last reported a few months back, but I'm sure whatever they were, they were acquired before my Winchester 94 (1968 vintage) and Star Super B, purchased together about two months ago, and the Beretta 21A I picked up the other day..

A used 12ga Remington 870 express, 28" ribbed barrel.
Picked that over an interesting Western Field 20ga, but that one had little finish left and was only $25 less.

I purchased an H&R 949 DA/SA cowboy styled revolver,,,
Got it from The Evil Pawn Shop for $191.48 out-the-door.

I wasn't especially looking for any gun that day,,,
It just caught my eye and I thought it would go well with my old Mossberg 340-KC.

I do like pairing up sets of similar vintage guns.

Sig P229 in .40 cal. There are lots of excellent deals on these used examples, and many are also in DA/SA.

Because 9mm guns are so fashionable, many .40 caliber P229s are discounted.

I thought I was done with AR's ... I've got more than 10, in different configurations and caliber's but when I saw this upper I new I needed a nekkid AR so I bought it ... I had every thing except a good grip and trigger guard to build the lower, and my favorite shop just got in a bare lower ... He had the black Magpul guard I wanted but I'm still looking for a grip ... and maybe an optic ... haven't decided yet.

I just bought a remington 721 in .270 cal built in 1949. While inquiring about it, the owner responded, ''by your s name, i think we have some thing in common''. Before i looked at the complete end of the email i sent him back an answer, and a description of where i was in VN. Then, i spotted his name on the end of the original response he sent me, when i asked about the rifle condition. We had a company reunion in Va in 2006 my brother went back with me. Well, i met this guy, he was a former Marine Recon member, and we all hit it off, and we hung out together for pretty much the whole reunion. Really enjoyed his company. So, fast forward, i got really interested in this old war horse, and it looked like a fun rifle to buy, clean up, but, leave the patina totally as is. I'll clean and oil the stock, but, the barrel and action will remain the same, kind of a brownish color. "surface rust'', He said, the inside of the barrel looked good with a hawkeye . So, i won the bid, now after all these 12 yrs, this rifle is in a way that the 2 of us reconnected after all this time.
