What is the last gun that you bought?

Gorgeous! What are we looking at?

It is a Weihrauch HW52 in .22 l.r. I already have a few of them and am intrigued by the quality but none of them has as nice wood and is engraved. Haenel manufactured a similiar rifle for a long time, including in the former GDR, and Weihrauch had made a few after WWII in Mellrichstadt in West Germany.

That 28-2 is awesome. A .357 Magnum!

Wikipedia says the Model 28 was used by:

Florida Highway Patrol
Georgia State Patrol
Idaho State Police (1955–1979)
Maine State Police (1977–1988)
New York State Police
San Francisco Police Department
Texas Department of Public Safety
U.S. Border Patrol
Washington State Patrol
Wisconsin State Patrol

Well I know I posted a stock photo earlier, but this is the gun Facebook paid for. Thought I would add some Ed Brown grips for a black and silver two tone look. I shot 425 rounds thru it the first day. Great shooter. I'll put another 4 or 500 thru it, and then will start carrying it.

Now that's a couple of nice pick-ups you've got there!

You know I don't recall seeing all that many blued Model 586s when I was looking for an L frame. Not that I mind having my Model 686 in stainless steel; it's just that the more I see of the blued version, the more I get a hankerin' to go out and get one!

I've also got a 4" 686...wasn't really looking for this one, just kinda stumbled on it. Also didn't really need to spend the $$$, but 586's don't turn up that often.

Well you can't beat a deal like that!

Getting a holster that fits that length barrel is icing on the cake!

And congrats and a great job with your first post here on THR!
