What is the last gun that you bought?

last gun I bought is a ruger new model single six revolver. stainless steel, convertible... 22LR and 22mag cylinders

A 1937 Astra model 400. I got for $95 in an online auction. It showed up today and is in beautiful condition.

About the gun in comment #6131 by "Tempest 455", is that one of the types used by military snipers, possibly used by the late Chris Kyle (SEAL) in Iraq?

It reminds me of one the guns he described in "American Sniper", employed to stop the foreign insurgents who maneuvered to attack our soldiers and Marines.

Little bigger, clearer?

"Arthur-itis" is finally catching up with me, and it was making it difficult to load and unload my 1975 Ruger .357 Blackhawk. Swinging by my LGS, I spotted a new Ruger GP100 begging to be taken home. So, a trade and a little cash made me a happy feller once again.

It has since been modded with lighter springs, and a fiber optic front sight.
A hoot to shoot it is.

I traded for a Navy Arms Martini-Greener, .45-70. Having fun turning it into a silhouette gun!
My newest gun, however, is one I made, my Pocket Rifle, an underhammer muzzle loader in .36.

Bought - Sporterized 1891 Argentine Mauser - $75

Filling out the winning ticket in the shops Anniversary Sale raffle and also taking home a Ruger 10/22 Takedown door prize - priceless

Enjoying both of them at the range yesterday - even better

A glock 19. Not really filling a new niche as ive had an m&p9, but wanted to try one. I am appreciating it's size and may migrate for cc.

In the Never - Ending Quest to fill up all the space in my house...

I found this at a local. I've got Rugers and such, but this one is built on the original lines, no transfer bar and a hammer mounted safety. Some things are just better in the early incarnations.

It is in .45 Colt. A non-maximum amount of Power Pistol pushes a 255 Lead SWC at roughly 760 f/s. Not a magnum, but quite adequate for most uses. All the chambers run pretty close to the same velocity and accuracy is sufficient (one handed at 25 yards runs about the size of the 8 ring of a Timed/Rapid fire target.)

I'm going to put up some loads with Pyrodex I have lurking in the basement and see how that works. I'll post a full report on my blog, listed in my signature line.

I was down in Columbus, Ohio this weekend enjoying family. One goal was to get to Cabela's and check out ammunition supplies. My wife had hoped to pick up some sheepskin slippers as Christmas gifts. So Saturday afternoon My wife and I as well as my brother went to Cabela's. Looked at assorted guns and she went to apparel. My plan was ammunition and reloading supplies. Wandered into the Gun Cave and saw a few nice things. Then I saw a S&W Model 27-2. The presentation box was fair but the revolver about mint. I have a weakness for these older quality revolvers.

Never made it to ammunition and reloading supplies so have no clue what they had. :)

Oh yeah, the winter apparel as to sheep skin slippers wasn't in the store yet.

FA 83 premier

This FA 83 with 454, 45 Colt, and 45 acp cylinders. Slightly used on consignment at local GS. Built like a bank vault and a sweet shooter....

Ironic that the FA is on a "learning about money" placemat...the cost keeps them out of my hands..:)

I bought an NRA Ruger LC9...as I gave my standard LC9 to a friend for his 50 B-day.

I am still on a list for a S&W 642...the dealer I use has been out of them for a while with no ETA....
