At the flea market yesterday, I came across an old .22 pump rifle. It was "rust dusted" and somewhat dirty, and had quite a few dings in the walnut stock. The guy wanted $100, so I made him happy.
Got it home, and discovered:
* A "Ranger", marketed by Sears 1939-1941, built by Savage (their 29B).
* Bore is in awesome/wonderful condition!
* Internals has a generous slathering of oil, and were in fantastic condition.
* This rifle was stored, and of late stored poorly, but obviously well cared for up till recently.
* Shoots shorts, longs, and long rifles.
No missing parts, no damaged parts except some very light pitting on the barrel's exterior.
