I was talking to someone earlier today, and he mentioned that a friend of his, who is ridiculously rich, once bought 20 (twenty) AKs at once.

So it got me thinking. What was the maximum number of guns you ever bought at once in a single transaction?

Cslinger and I were wondering which alphabet soup agency would have showed up at his doorstep first.

My bet is on DHS in this day and age.

I know about the form, I was just wondering because twenty just seemed excessive, even for a serious collector.

I don't think even Dr Lunde has twenty P99s :neener:

Three! S&W Revolver, .270 A-bolt, and a 12 gauge Beretta  stash go gondi.
Ahhh...my younger, single days. Heh. Wouldn't want to go back to them though!

Another for three!!!

One of those was a transfer that had come in - one was one that had been on order and come in - and the third well - an impulse buy - ''because I was there'' LOL :p.

Saves gas ya see :D

One. I live paycheck to paycheck. I love layaway.

I have had two on layaway at once though, and I had one on layaway and paid cash for another, do they count?

Two. Grabbed at a chance to pick up a 10/22 and a S&W Model 19, used, for very good prices. Mucked up my buying strategy for a while, but I'm glad I did.

Two: a Smith & Wesson model 41 not long before the company hopped into bed with the Snopes Clinton-Liar Gore régime, and a Colt Python the same week Colt announced it was abandoning the civilian firearms market.

5 or 6, several times over the last couple years. 5 Turk Mausers for $100, 5 Enfield .410's for $75, 5 Nagants for about $100, a couple of mixed bags. A C&R and Century's monthly specials make it a lot easier. :)

2 at a time, twice. Now that my choices are less impulse driven (You know, I think I need a .22, drive to the store, leave with .22 longgun and handgun), I am back to one at a time and those are long decisions between purchases.
