All domestic commercial 45ACP brass is fungible, except:

1. A-Merc = junk, pick them out and throw away. The brass is all wrong.
2. NT (non-toxic-primer) marked brass may have small-primer pockets, you will need to sort them out. AFAIK, only Winchester and Federal load NT
3. Some military brass has the primers crimped in, you will need to ream the primer pockets to remove the crimp.

I used to work in a commercial loading operation, we never had any issues with 45ACP brass of any makes in this poll, or Winchester.

Well, CCI & Speer & Blazer Brass & *I* (independance) are all the same brass. So two of your choices are the same.

My personal favorite .45 brass is Magtech (CBC), that's not on your list either.

I personally cull and sell the Winchester .45 brass because that's what I get the most of and everybody likes it.

That leaves me the CCI/Speer/*I*, R-P, Fed, Aguila, Hornady, BHA, PMC, CBC, GFL, S&B, W-W, Cor-Bon, etc plus all the .mil headstamps. I couldn't give a darn about headstamps for pistol brass.

Guess I am in the minority but I prefer the Federal brass. Why it is consistent and durable and it is easier to clean (takes less time) than my second facorite Winchester. Third place goes to CBC/MagTech and fourth is Starline.

I like them all....especially if I got them off the ground at the range for free. Amerc is the only one I have gotten that will lock up my press at the crimp station.

I pump out far too many mid level reloads in .45 acp to be sifting thru and looking at head stamps. For full power loads that I use for defensive carry I have leaned toward Federal not for any particular reason other than I have a bunch of nice once fired nickel cases.

I note very little mention of Starline here. Why? That is all I use (for pistols) and have been well pleased. Am I missing something? I'd like to hear some comments. Granted, my use is for .45 LC and .32 H&R, not .45 ACP.

Expanding the discussion a skosh, in rifle brass, I almost always buy Winchester, but only because the very superior Lapua is so expensive. I do like Federal rifle brass, but since they no longer sell it, it is difficult to come up with enough in any caliber to justify working up a load for it, as virtually everyone in my area reloads, thus very little brass is ever available for pick-up.

Starline

Starline generally isn't free. Meaning, you don't find it lying on the ground at the range.

If I am buying new pistol brass, Starline is pretty much the only thing I buy.

It doesn't make a difference to me. I do generally sort brass by headstamps however I read an article where the tester found no diffrence in accuracy using the same headstamp or mixed headstamps. I guess it might make a diffrence if you are a bench rest shooter tryiny to shrink that .214 group down to .210 even.
