What is the range of pistol-caliber rifles?

Colt advertises thier M16 SMG 9mm Carbines that the USMC has are effective to 50 yards, the fathest I've ever shot a sub-caliber is 50 yards, has me wondering now... and I feel cheated out of good training

pistol/rifle same caliber combo

ruger makes two good .44 magnum rifles. one is a lever action carbine in .44 mag. the other is a semi-auto Deerfield carbine in .44 mag.

a nice handgun to go with the rifle same caliber would be a taurus Ultralight Titanium 4" BBL revovler in .44 mag.

i dont think that there would be any problem shooting a .44 mag rifle out to 100 yards. good luck.. Eric
