From the estate of a relative I have a double barrel side/by/side 12 ga. It has dobule triggers and exposed hammers that you have to cock for each shot. It is in very rough condition and while the triggers work and appear to adequately move the firing pins, I'm not sure about shooting it. The only markings are on one of the sideplates where it says "American Gun Co New York", the right barrel is marked "Genuine Armory Steel" and the left barrel is marked "Choke Bored". Anybody out there recognize this thing?

About $100-150, for use as a decorative shotgun-like object. It's what is affectionately known as "a wallhanger."

I'd forget shooting it, unless you spent whatever it took to get a good smith who knows double guns to go over it and deem it safe. Read the article at http://www.doublegunshop.com/gunther1.htm ...

American Gun Company: Trade name used by H. & D. Folsom Arms Company on pistols andshotguns that firm retailed.
