Hi, guys!

Hey, those of us that use surplus powder know that most of the time, it's really commercial stuff of one sort of another - and if the seller would tell us what it really is, we could consult our loading data.:scrutiny:

So... does anybody know what Widener's surplus pistol powder called CPP really is? I know it's Commercial Pistol Powder... but which one? :cuss:

Thanks for any help.....

They say it is a "spherical pistol powder."
Means it is made by St Marks (Winchester) or imported.

Power pistol is not spherical, although the granules are so short cut you might mistake it.

True, Power Pistol is a flake powder...I did not read the entire write up they had on the CPP...I was going by the listed loads, velocities and bullet weights...Power Pistol matched up with all 3 rounds. Compared using Sierra, Hornady, and Speer manuals. (I give the most credit to the Sierra manual)

The next closest match was SR 4756.

Means it is made by St Marks (Winchester) or imported.

Might wanna compare the sample load data to WSF, HS-6, Longshot, etc. then and see if any of them match. One of them is probably really close.
