You may have to live on a budget but if you're living in Montana, that's priceless IMO.I’m poor , I have to plan things out like ordering barrels, bullets, powder and making motel reservations way in advance as that alone can have a significant effect on my budget.
Like most here, I have no set budget. Anything gun related comes out of "extra cash" since most all of my basic firearm needs have already been met for many years. Same goes for hunting/fishing or any other recreational related items. Priority comes from what scratches an itch.
I don't have a set budget for firearms. We have a fixed income and our utilities are on the equal pay plans, so are monthly expenses are pretty much the same every month. If something is under $100 I buy it after a little research. If it's over $100 I wait a few days to make sure I really want(need) it. Being my wife's caregiver and guardian the decisions are mine.I don’t have a “firearms” budget. I have an overall budget, pay savings first, pay bills second, if nothing is left cut budget, buy less car/less house/whatever.
Then when that’s under control you’ll have money leftover to buy fun stuff, which I do these days. But no set amount for firearms related stuff
Now that's a partner. Or is this a Russian botMy wife handles the budgeting.
The only thing we're really in the market for his ammunition. My Wife puts money in the ammunition envelope every month she keeps her eye on the sales when she finds a good price she buys as much as we can reasonably afford.
