What is your guess as to better gun and ammo pricing?

I doubt that any of you have a crystal ball, but was throwing this question out for your opinions. I myself have not a clue, with the chinese pandemic,riots in our streets, economy on 1 leg, election year. Hard to fathom if guns and ammo will ever be pre-pandemic/riot prices.

They will be depending on election. But that will get this closed. They will even out around this time next year. Not sure if prices will be as good as they where. But will go down. And if don't stock up. Well no complaining.

I too think this time next year. For now, just buy what you need. I definitely wouldn't try to build a stock pile when everyone else is. The time for that was the last 3 years when all the old timers were warning everyone.

I hate to say (type) that it’s different this time, but it’s different this time. I believe prices and demand will remain high and supply will remain low way passed any autumn lever pulling. When freedom of speech is abused as it has been recently, the next amendment is held tighter by anybody with their eyes and ears open.

My "guess" based on 60+ years of experience is that the situation with regard to all firearms and ammunition will become more and more tense as we get closer to the November election. And then, depending on the outcome of the election, the sitution will either improve slightly (becoming less intense) or all heck will erupt and you won't be able to find or buy anything! In short, if you see it now and you want it and can afford it .... buy it.

Hate to agree as far as the outcome of the election, but if Biden wins and the Dems get the Senate back, you'll never see guns and ammo as cheap as they are now again. If the polls continue the way they're going now, the ammo companies will keep hiking prices. They could care less about us out here, the 2nd Amendment or the RKBA -- it's a business to them.

I really, really hate to be all doom and gloom ... but if you don't already have all the ammo you need for the rest of your life -- it's too late now.

I am hoping this silliness abates some in the near future. That said, as long as people are willing to pay higher prices and strip the shelves of all things firearms you'll not see lower prices. I always buy ahead when there are deals as a hedge against higher cost that is inevitable in the future and supply chain problems.

I watched two guys buy guns yesterday that they didn’t like. Both of them were buying “because they might not get a chance later...”

The first guy kind of made me laugh. My LGS had 1 new Glock Gen 3 Glock 21 .45 ACP. He groped and complained about Glocks. Then he groped and complained about the .45 ACP. Then he groped and complained about the width of the gun. Then he griped and complained about the all black color. Then he started griping and complaining about the cost of buying a gun in California. Man, I wanted to muzzle that guy.

People are buying just to buy. They are buying anything and everything. Then there are the hoarders. Those that have enough of everything and possibly way more than they will ever need, but they still gotta keep accumulating.

I think prices will drop in a year if politics and pandemics don’t take a turn for the worse. I say that because of supply and demand. There may be lots of guns and ammo and buyers will be fewer because the market is saturated.

I agree with most of the other posters here in that it will be a year before things calm down and even then, it depends on the election results. Vote for pro gun politicians if any exist. If not, your best choice is to vote Republican. If by some miracle, the Republicans are in control of the presidency, House, and Senate after the election, I think prices will normalize even sooner. Unfortunately, I think the Dems are going to win all three bodies and waste no time trampling the 2A; they don’t even pretend to support the 2A now. Vote pro gun and encourage everyone else to do the same.

As long as there's no ban the prices will cycle back down again some day...like it has again and again. We just can't predict when that will be happening.

This is more than just a cycle. A whole new world of violence coming. Saw this years ago. Lawlessness, and evil politicians that support and joined force's with them. This is just the tip of the Iceberg. Very possible that the 2nd Amendment right's are completely taken away. We have fallen into a trap. We under estimated them for too long.

The recent uproar is funded globally. It’s way passed politicians IMO. Of course our politicians and godless, history-less youth are being used to undermine our free speech. Free speech falls first, everything else follows right behind it.
