I caught the movie Halloween II last night on amc. What kind of gun was he using to gun down the bad guy? At first I thought it was a S&W M-28 6 inch, later the barrel looked so thick I thought it was a 5 inch M-29, later I thought it was a 4 inch Colt Trooper MK III. What kind of revolver was he using in those two movies?

Didn't do much good anyhow, Mike soaked up the rounds and in H2 took some to the noggin and kept chopping.

So does this definitely prove that revolvers are obsolete for monsters as compared to nuclear weapons?

Jason soaked up the rounds from an FBI HRT before being taken down by a mortar squad.

Buffy had to use an antitank missile on a monster.

Even though the gun was not effective, some how I always felt that he was a gun guy with his revolver and later on 1911.

He was also a make the monster a human torch guy - not that torching worked either.

I have to admit I do like monster movies where someone does have the sense to have a firearm and at least try to shoot the darn monster.

However, did anyone see that toothfairy go beserk movie? When the toothfairy attacked the jail, an officer Glocked it at point blank in the noggin to no effect.

However, in the climax - there just happened to be the ingredients for the old monster human torch lying around.

But in Species, they just happened to have the human torch stuff to burn the monster after Glocking it but then the monster climbed out and had to eat a grenade launcher in the face.

So you need a semiauto and the human torch materials for the average monster?

Rob Zombie is supposed to direct a new Halloween - 9, I think. Michael is the best and first of this genre of humanoid monsters, IMHO.

Oh, I forgot - Cowboy action shooting guns vs. Mummies - don't work - ask Brendan Fraser.

Dr. Loomis carried a S&W Model 15 in Halloween and a Dan Wesson Model 15 in Halloween II. In Halloween II, the "marshall" carried a Colt Trooper Mk. III, that's where the Troooper came from.

Damned if I didnt love The Mummy...second one wasnt quite so great, though.

I figure axes are far more useful, horror movie wise...bullets never stop the monsters, but taking a head off definitely makes them more manageable :)

I thought it was a Colt MK III Trooper with 4" barrel. Just watched it a couple nights ago and it looked like the Colt.
