What Kind Of Gun Would You Like To See?

Ruger used to make one of those. They occasionally turn up on the second-hand market/. I've always wanted one, even though I have no real use for it--I just think they're cute.

Yeah... I know... I just posted a WTB add for one on this very Board.

ETA: Weird... My WTB post disappeared.

.327 Federal Magnum Lever gun w/18"-22" barrel. Able to shoot .32 S&W longs and .32 H&R magnums also. (Please don't tell me about the .32-20's) priced under $500.00.

An M1 Carbine chambered for 357 magnum.

An LRB Arms M25 chambered for 243/7mm08/260Rem.

+1 on the .30-06 M1A and the Red Jacket comment...

for me:

1) S&W J frame in .327 Fed Mag

2) Reissue of the Colt 1903 Hammerless, maybe in 9mm.

3) Something similar to the old Ruger Camp Carbine, but that accepts pistol magazines through a pistol grip. If it took Para double stack .45 magazines, that'd be even better. Something quality (i.e., not a Hi Point)

Hmm, Only 3?

1) A "Kayak-Gun" (Yes, I had to bring this up sooner or later.) It would be mostly parkerized/blue (not a big fan of the nickle guns) but extremely resistant to corosion and salt water. If an auto, it would probably be chambered in 10mm, or wahtever the FN FiveseveN is in. Actually, a 100% corosion and water proof FN FiveseveN would fit the bill nicely. Or maybe base it on a 1911 or revolver so that you can get a wider variety of callibers - a .22, .45, 9mm, 10mm, 44magnum.....

2) another revolution in pocket guns. Either something like the NAA minis, but with a double action trigger and trigger gaurd, or a 5 shot snubby in 327Federal. or 7.62Tokarev. Yea, a five shot, 1.5 inch barreled DAO - it would be (in theory) slimmer than the .38 snubbies, and maybe easier to carry IWB, but still pack a nice punch.

3) I'd say an affordable FAL, but that will never happen. I'll settle for a speedstrip for revolvers thats flexible. You can carry it as easily as the normal speedstrips, but you can bend the two ends together and load all 5-9 rounds (depending on the gun/calliber) at the same time like a normal speed loader.

3.) somehow a double barrel semi auto shotgun that had 2 tubes one under each barrel. That to me would serve so many roles I think it would be a winner all the way around.

I had a dream once: I was hunting vampires (Can't stand what they did to Forks...) and my shotgun was an over/under. underneath the two barrels where two tubes that together would act like a single stack magazine. You'd fire both barrels, but the bottom one functioned like the old berreta "tip up" .22 pistols. capacity of an autoloader, performance of an O/U. Just something to think about.....

A would like to see a lightweight 9mm carbine with a wood stock that takes Glock 17 magazines. Kind of like the old Marlin Camp Carbine, but with better sights.

S&W Governor, only in 10 gauge. What would that hold, like three shots?
I'll take this as a joke. What I'd like to see in all seriousness though is a modern, DA version of the LeMat revolver, maybe in 20 gauge instead of 16 gauge.
No, it was not a joke. I'm currently saving up for a prize for the first sane person to fire it. :D

1. Glock 380 made available in US(I might be the only one)

2. Affordable 44 mag carbine

3. .44 mag XD

2) A cross between a crossbow and a shotgun (bolts would be about 3" long)

Flechette rounds are similar although the actual projectiles are no where near 3" long. I'm not quite sure about the legalities but if you where handy with a dremel, drill press and had a reloading set up you could make these yourself using tungsten nails or similar materials. There are some companies that make them however they are obnoxiously expensive IMO.

A 20 gauge pistol would be a Sawed Off Shotgun. The Taurus Judge is a .45 Colt pistol that can shoot .410. It is a pistol. You can't make a 50 caliber plus pistol, as it is a Destructive Device, and you can't make a shotgun pistol, as it would be a sawed off. Thus, no 20 gauge pistol can be made under current laws for widespread commercial sale.

But wouldn't it be legal with a tax stamp for a short barrel shotgun?

Legionaire and Cosmoline beat me to it, but I want a quality lightweight .44 special in a 3 or 4" barrel made by either Ruger or S&W.

1) Pistol calibre carbine in 10mm like a kel-tec sub200 or hi-point or an AR kit that took 10mm.

2) a revolver chambered in 20ga, maybe a two shot or three shot cylinder on a S&W N or K frame.

3) one of those "legal" pen guns (you have to move the handle into an angular position before firing but it looks like a normal pen when disarmed) in something other than .22lr, maybe 9mm or .38spl even .32 acp would be acceptable.
We're working on the first one. We'll have a prototype done in about 2 weeks.

bearcreek; They do make a AR in 7.63x39 , it`s called a AK-47.

USAF Vet; They do make an adapter to shoot 7.62x39 in a Mosin Nagant , check out mcasports.com !

Heretic; They do make a AR in .30 carbine , it`s called a M1 Carbine.

2: A thin, single stack Glock in 9mm. I can´t imagine why they haven´t already done this.

I agree, especially as a subcompact. Not sure about any particular import prohibitions, such as the one that prevents them from importing the Glock .380. But I'd love a small thin Glock.

Small 10mm carbine that can be converted back to a pistol if needed. Similar to one of the glock slip in jobs, with a threaded barrell 10 inch and 30 roung mag, laser and light.Possiblly a slide fire stock also. Good for bodygaurds, police and secret service, although they can have class 3 in the same set up.

Those are some sweet looking pieces of hardware, of course I couldn't get one if I wanted to unless you guys could do a fixed buttstock, non threaded muzzle version. Just a thought for states that have "assault weapons" bans.

I would like to see a modern top break double action revolver. I want it to be relatively compact, chambered in 45acp, adapted for use with moon clips. 3-5 inch barrel. I think it would be a hit with competition shooters, and casual shooters alike. I'm sure with some training it could be reloaded just has fast has a semi auto. Especially if you are left handed, like I am.

or hi cap Tokarev.

That's already been done.

Ironically, I bought a magazine for one a while back thnking it was for a Browning Hi-Power since their appearance is virtually identical. The Tok hi-caps are slightly larger than a Hi-Power mag, though, and won't fit in a Hi-Power.:cuss:

GI style sights for everything

I would like to see just about any and all types of rifles come with rear apeture sites, more or less GI style. Like the Mini-14 and the Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle. I mean just about every decent rifles should come with a factor GI sight option. That's what I would like to see.
