What magazines are the most difficult to load?

The ten-rounder in my brothers's Taurus PT145

Is a bit of a bear to get past 7 rounds and It didn't come with a loader like my Ruger P97 (much easier even without the loader).

The South African KRD 17 roudners for the browning hi power. IVe been working on these for a week now, and just loaded 16 for the first time today.

I second that.
Got a tip on TFL to load the ten or eleven that it would hold, then let it sit for a week, unload, add more, let sit, etc, until the full capacity was usable. Worked like a charm. They now load to seventeen without a problem, though the last two are a bit tight.

My 100rnd chicom drum for my AK. Yes, I know it has a door you can open. The problem is I can never remember how to have the spring before loading. I almost always load it, close it, and then can't wind it resulting in dumping out all the ammo and trying again until I get it right. I guess I need to go shooting more if not just to practice loading the darn thing! Sten mags are a huge pain in the thumb too if you don't have the loader gizmo.

Glock G21 13 rd. mags with +2 extensions, without a doubt the toughest magazines I've ever tried to load (could only get 14 rds. into two of them.)

Ruger MKII second.

Worst ever are the 10 round Tripp CobraMags in 10mm/.40 that I got a while back. Wasn't physically possible to fit 10 in the mag, with the added bonus that the feed lips have sharp edges to chew up your fingers as you try to force the rounds in. No, thanks.

The last one or two rounds are often hard to load into new high capacity mags. But the toughest loading I have ever experienced was with the three Luger mags I got today. The difficulties started right with the first round and only got tougher. With great effort and determination I finaly got eight rounds into one mag and seven into the other two. The springs must be really stiff.

Concur with Oleg. Those Uzi magazines (and their Colt clones) are tough to load. With my thumb applying downward pressure to the cartridge, I strike the magazine base against my thigh to get a cartridge in. After a while, the thigh feels {Tony the Tiger voice}great!

The magazines for my Sten sub-gun are a bear to load without a loading tool. In fact, I have never loaded one to full capacity without the tool.

The 1 10 round single stack sl8 mag i have.... after shooting the bp pistol when my hands are greasy...

New KRD mags are kinda tough.

Gotta agree. The 17 rounders are pretty tough to load. Lots of people say that they've got to let them sit a week before the last 2 rounds will go in... I must be a stubborn fart, because I get 17 into them immediately. My fingers hurt afterwards, but it can be done.

Of the guns I've got, I was gonna say the tube mag on my Marlin 60...

You gotta be joking... either something's wrong there or you have some very easy-to-load guns in your collection, because loading up that tube mag on my 60 is super-quick and no problem whatsoever. I can practically just throw .22s in there. ;-)
