What magazines do you trust for your AR?

H&K all the way. Yes they're expensive, but you mentioned reliability and durability-they're the best in my opinion. At least pick up a few for your collection.

The PMAG's run circles around the HK mags. Not to mention they are lighter and cost far less...

issue USGI, Brownells, HK, and Pmags.

Best? The original USGI 20rd with the aluminum follower.

D&H/Labelle Work and Run Great in My DPMS...

PRO MAG's SUCK! and their warranty SUCKS because you pay shipping and they keep sending worthless POS mags. They say they fix them but they send other new mags that still don't work This has happened on AR mags, Hi Point Carbine Mags, and 1911 mags for me! DON'T BUY PROMAG!

I have about a dozzen GI 30s that run great and dont hardly have much invested in the things for cost. I also have some old Colt GI 20s that I am attached to.

Since getting HK magazines issued, most people I work with have reverted to using aluminum USGIs. The failure rate on the HK mags is high enough that it just doesn't justify the extra weight of the mag. I've heard some people attribute this to new magazines needing some sort of break-in, and others say that the feed lips are easier to bend than aluminum models. Not sure which, if either, is accurate, but the consensus seems to be lots of hype, with less performance.
