What other kind of magazines will work in a Beretta 96, 40 caliber? I just traded for one and would like to find some more high capasity magazines. Thanks

I just got one about a week ago too, I bought four ten rounders for $44.00

" I have 4 MDS (a division of Beretta) 10 Round magazines for a .40 Cal Beretta 96 for sale. These are new and unused and identical to Beretta Name Factory Mags. I will take $44.00 shipped for all 4 mags. I can take Pay Pal (+3%)or Money Order. "

Got them from a seller at this forum:

The original capacity of the 96 is 11 rounds. Is it really worth the money for an extra cartridge?

If you can find them, the MegCar mags hold 12. I used to have a Beretta Centurian 96. Bought it right around at the time of the '94 ban. The gun store had a bunch of the MegCar's and they worked fine. I understand they actually make mags for Beretta and Sig, maybe others, don't know.

All the ones I've ever seen were 10-rounders. Mine came with factory 10-rounders. I thought that they all came out AFTER the ban. (I didn't realize that 11 and 12 rounders were ever available.)

I sure don't think paying a lot extra for one round or two rounds makes a lot of sense...

I believe Mec-Gar made factory mags for Beretta years ago, but I'm not sure about that. I think that Beretta makes their own mags right now and MDS currently makes the USGI ones.

There are preban 11 and 12 rounders out there. Not very many 12's though.
