Nice all around shotgun is Beretta 390 sporting Clays gun I have one in 20 ga. shoot sporting clays, 5 stand and skeet. Never tried trap with it I'm sort of hung up on trap being a 12 ga sport.

If you shoot all the others with 20 gauge, I don't think trap would be really any different. I find trap a lot easier than sporting clays or. 5 stand. I use a 12 gauge just because it's what I own.

Well, I like Remington 870's and I've owned them on and off since about 1970... I've never got a bad one, and i have a vintage 870 20ga. "light weight" that I won't ever sell.

Having said that, I wanted another 20 ga. around to teach new shooters on, so I bought a new Rem. express 20 ga. the other day...

It's certainly not as smooooth as my old Wingmasters were, but it works great and will smooth up as it get's used, also at $307.00 I consider it a good deal in todays market.....and it uses interchangeable "Remchokes", I like that...

I shoot skeet, sporting clays and trap with a 28ga. I just use 7 1/2 shot for trap and sporting clays, 9 shot for skeet. It is all the same for me 12ga 20ga it doesn't matter. I am going to use a choke that will give me a nice dense 16" to 20" pattern. When the pattern gets much larger you have holes in the pattern that will allow the clay pigeon to pass through. I also buy high antimony shot. Antimony helps prevent the shot from being flattened in the barrel and it takes less pellets to break a clay.
