I pick up brass wherever I can find it, so I dry tumble first unless its really filthy then I rinse it in a bucket with hot water and dawn dishwashing soap. Then for rifle I tumble again to remove lube after sizing. I use a dental pick to get the walnut media out of flash holes, but I do this while checking and separating headstamps, so its just part of brass prep, and doesn't take too much time.

I always deprime then tumble...I have never had issues with walnut media clogging primers holes
Same with me, no issues exactly, and I was using corn cob media last night when I dry tumbled the 300 or so 9mm cases for about 8 hours. It was funny because I'd forgotten about them while I was goofing around on internet message forums. About 9:00 last night, my wife came in and growled at me; "Are you going to tumble those cases all night?"
No harm done. But to get back to the subject of media stuck in the flash holes, even with corn cob media it only happens maybe 1 out of every 10 cases, and it's not a problem - the wife and I each have a short piece of baling wire to poke through the flash holes if there is a piece of media stuck in it. And it's probably a good idea to inspect each primer pocket anyway. Working together, the wife and I inspected and cleaned out any stuck pieces of corn cob media or left over charcoal bits in those 300, 9mm primer pockets in less than twenty minutes.:)
