There are several that I would like to buy but because I like to shoot my guns, ammo cost is a factor.

The Swiss K-31s look sweet! If the ammo was cheaper or if it were in a more common/less expensive caliber, I would buy one. A .308 K-31 would suit me just fine. :D

Enfields also suffer from ammo cost problems. I would love to have an Enfield in .7.62x39mm. I think that would be the cats meow.:D

Ditto!

A MN M44 in .243 or 7MM-08 would be kinda cool too.

albanian: Rifles in 7.62X39 based on the Enfield action with good iron sights are available. A forum search should turn up links.

I'd appreciate Winchester offering .308 in thier Model 70 Classic stainless.

Talk about an American basic......:p

I'd buy any gun if it was in the 40 megawatt range.

Sorry Gary, just what you see on the shelf. :neener:

K-31 in .308 sounds really good. So does SKS in .223. Hmmm. . .how about Carcano in 6.5x55 Swede?

BTW, I'd get the M44 anyways, but it would also be nice in .308.

H&R Handi Rifle in 7.62x39

Very affordable rifle with good accuracy and a very popular inexpensive round.....

If anyone from Marlin/ H&R 1871 is listening...What is sooooo hard to understand???

why .30-30?
Deer. I just can't see my way clear to try a 7.62x39 AR (John Wayne never shot 7.62x39 did he?) and the .243 armalite would not be an optimal brush gun.

a P-90 in 17HRM
Wow, I'll bet a Vulcan chain gun would be really cool in .17! You could use it for light excavation and pulpwood cutting. :D

.223 FAL. And the annoying part is that they exist! Imbel makes them, but for reasons that elude me, no one imports the bits and americanizes them just enough to sell, which they do with Imbel .308s.

Why? Just to keep with my FAl system, and not have to break down and get an AR for .223ing.

That, or the EM-2 in .308 instead of .243. Of course, they hardly exist, but if they had been adopted we'd be all over surplus ex-UK army EM-2s about now. Yum.

CZ Varmit in .223 WSSM, heck I might even settle for .220 Swift but the fastest .22 caliber they sell it in is .22-250 which is so close I might get it anyway. But I'm really leaning twards the screeming balistics of the WSSM but the rifles I've found it chambered in really don't make my heart sing.

An Enfield #4 mk1 in .308. Yes, I know there are .308 Indian #1 mk IIIs out there, but the #4 is much more purdy in my book.

Vulcan is GE's cutesy name for the 20 mm M61 specifically. What you mean is the XM-214:

Two notes:
  • You can't carry one. The movie ones had things like external power supplies.
  • The movie guns also were total fabrications; .308 miniguns made up to be .223s. No real XM-214s in movies that I know of.
These were made up for use on light vehicles, boats and so on. Never for people to walk around with. But it does look fun.

I'd like to see one of those in, say .17 HMR. And lets put 9 barrels on for an ROF around 9000 spm.

I'll bet a few of the rotaries out there are transferable (Dillon's?) but who would sell them?

Ruger PC- .357 Sig, 10MM, 9X25 Dillon, 7.62X25 Tok. or .45 Winchester Magnum.
Beretta CX4 in 10MM, or 7.62X25 Tok, or 9MM winchester Magnum.
Winchester 92 copy or Marlin in .454 Casull
Winchester or Marlin carbine (16 inch) in .357 Bain and Davis

Winchester 94 or Marlin 336 in .500 S&W, stainless, synthetic, 16 inch barrel

If AWB goes away, M1A in 223 with integral bipod, heavy fluted barrel and 100 round factory drum.
