What school teaches these?

As indicated in the video, they're practicing Silat. It's a sort of rough collection of various martial-arts styles common to Malaysia/surrounding areas.

You might also want to do a search for Krav Maga, which is an Israeli martial art. Very effective fighting style, taught to Israeli citizens. It's adaptable to all ages/fitness levels. I'll be signing up for classes local to me, as soon as I drop a few more lbs. ;)

Oh, one thing to keep in mind - you will not necessarily be able to train in these sorts of drills, depending on what martial-arts style you choose.

For example - Krav Maga has different levels of classes for their students. Many police and other law enforcement officials train in Krav Maga, and have higher-level techniques available to them that are not offered to the general public. The sorts of drills in the video you posted would generally be considered to be those type of techniques.

Regardless, there are certain martial arts (like Krav Maga) that are designed to be street-fighting based, and will serve you well should they ever become necessary to use.

Well **** that then. Thank-you for the informed response, but I've been around enough to hold my nose when I hear about Grand-poo-bahs and secret techniques that I can't learn. **** that. I specifically WANT to learn the disarm techniques, and it's BS if some douches won't teach it. What, are they afraid that some cop will be about to gangland-execute me in a back alley and I'll stop it? What possible reason could they have to not teach it, except for 'status' to make it seem exclusive and more valuable.

But you also answered the general question I was wondering, which was if there was some training group that taught this, like maybe one of those gun groups that offer classes.

Silat is a very serious & deadly martial art but those disarm techniques are pretty typical of all martial arts/self defense techniques.

Some of them are pretty limited though because they require the gun to be in contact with your body.

you can be tasught most advanced techniques but you have to earn the priveledge. atitude will make you a nonstarter in a good school. wanting to learn something doesn't entitle you.especially weapons techniques they get picky

Lucky - No problem. Honestly, I have no idea what the reasoning is behind the "certain techniques for certain folks" thing, but it is what it is. I don't like it either, but I'm still planning on taking Krav Maga as soon as I can. Even without the higher techniques, they teach you A LOT, and you do get some weapons training.

Cassandrasdaddy - That's not entirely true. I don't know if it's true with all martial arts, but I do know that Krav Maga and a few other street-fight type martial arts DO indeed have separate training "curriculum" for LEO & military types ONLY. No amount of "good attitude", please-n-thankyou or money will change that.

But like I said above - they are not necessarily that different than what is offered to the public. As I understand it, the difference between LEO-type training excercises and "regular joe" type exercises, is mainly weapons-based - IE, there is more training in the use of weapons (gun, baton, etc) with the martial art in question with the LEO version. Disarms, etc - probably about the same.

Heh my teacher had a few leo customers too, when I was younger. They kept wanting to learn soft strikes and how to not leave marks, lol. Kind of a reverse situation there I guess. But he didn't refuse to teach them anything, they just didn't want the whole package. I guess I just want what they did, except for less questionable purposes - a specific part of the package.

Looking at that video gives me serious concerns as to the styles practicality. All too often, the defender moves the muzzle across his own body. Personally, I don't like the idea of dying through my own negligence:)

hahahahaha

Nice comic video on how to get a sucking chest wound...

Believe it or not folks, these are not "Super secrete underground tactical Asian techniques classified as weapons by the army."

The human body only moves certain ways. There are certain area's that because of the movement of muscles, joints and bones become pressure points and / or are nerve clusters. All of these things can be duplicated if you have the time, someone to work with (a buddy interested like you are) and you too can create your own tactical top secret fighting style...

I am going to create a TV ad campaign with Billy Mays selling my techniques to create your own martial arts, banned by the army, registered as a leathal weapon, wanted in 4 systems, CHILDREN RUN IN FEAR ON INSTINCT...

:barf:

Martial arts in the 40 watt range, yes?

The guy in that video needs to move his body when he grabs for the gun, the way he was going for it he'd take a bullet COM if the badguy fired in time.

You can find people training in all sorts of practical martial arts. I was looking for a school a few months ago and found a place to learn old school Kali-Silat, which includes sticks, folding knives, unarmed, as well as elastic weapons and firearms.

Search online and you should find something, especially if you live near a city.
