Tomorrow I'm attending a local show and I'm hoping to trade in my Walther P1. I fully aware of all the variables in value but could someone give me a ballpark amount of what I should expect. Even a wide 'realistic' range.

It's a refurbished 1965 P1 with the fast slide and pin upgrades. The gun maybe unfired, I'm not sure but it is 'as new'. 4 Walther mags (3) marked P1 (1) marked P38.
Again the gun and 4 mags are outstanding.

I'm just looking for an idea. I'm completely blind on value as I bought it several years ago when they where $199 and I see the retail on them seems to have went up.

Thanks! Randy

$330 for a minor wear P1 handselected by AIM Surplus. Add $30 for the two mags. $360 total. Maybe someone will pay more since they see what they are getting and don't have to pay shipping and transfer.

Id figure on probably $125-150 in "trade", especially with a dealer. You may get $250 outright sale, but not from a dealer. Youre not likely to get retail from anyone.

Thanks guys. I came close.. I sorta had it in my mind that I would trade it if I was shown a value of $250. I was offered $225 in trade but I keept it and bought the other gun outrite. It's to much gun to let go for $225.
Thanks again..

Dealers will rip you off, currently they are going for about $300-$400 online and retail. On trade expect to get $100-$150 as a dealer is going to have to sit on one of these for a long time. Your better off selling it on gunbroker yourself. You should be able to get $300-$350 online.

I picked up one in a wather box import 98% that was originally $35o at Gander mountain, it sat in the store for 2 yrs. at $250 -$275 no takers. I waited till they had a good sale and used a coupon and got it for around $210 out the door. I ended up moving and hade a very hard time selling it for $299 and the guy who bought it came back bitching, saying it wasn't as described. He expected 98% to be perfectly new.
