Guys, what should i load up next??
I cant decide. I have all the primers you could possibly need for any loading for these calibers.

I have the following powders:
BE-86
WIN-231
WIN-296
Power Pistol
2400
Blue Dot
Long Shot

I have ample supply of Brass for 10mm, 9mm, 45ACP, 38 Special, 357 Mag, and 44 mag

I have projectiles including:
9mm 124gr Gold Dot
9mm 147 gr JHP notched(Win)
9mm Zero 124 gr Jhp
9mm Xtreme 124gr. Plated hollow point
10/40 .400 Hornady Action Pistol JHP 180gr.
10/40 .400 Berrys plated hybrid hollow point 180
38/357 .357 158gr Speer Deepcurl
38/357 180gr. Pugnose hardcast (missouri)
38/357 158gr LSWC hardcast
.430 240 gr. LSWC by SNS
.45 montana gold 230 fmj

I need someone to tell me what COMBO i ought to load, then ill research a possible recipe to verify its safe. I might just load it up and get back to you with the results.
Im at that much of a loss for what to do next. And im willing to be a test dummy for someone if they would like (Again, i will be working up loads safely and withing published parameters) I hold nobody liable for anything here. Just trying to spark some interest and maybe learn something.

Paralysis by analysis. Just pick some components and get after it.
9mm brass of your choice, W231, 124gr Gold Dot would do for a start.

What are you wanting to load, plinkers, match ammo, full power stuff?
What do gun do you want to go shoot?

Lots of choices but to pick 1
9mm, Xtreme plated HPs W231 (if you want more vel use the BE86 or PP)

Might be fun just for the heck of it to take some of the 124gr Zeros, load them up with PP and Longshot just to see what is loudest and has the most flash:evil::D
(never used Blue dot in 9mm but it would probably be in the lots of flash group as well)

The xtreme 124s and Win 231 is my go to. They are loaded mild, with 4.2gr. and give an estimated 1000fps (total guess, but ill bet im not far off)
This is my go-to target load for any of my 9mm pistols, from Glocks 17, and 19 to Browning Hi powers, to the Sig 228. It is sn outstanding load.
Very very very clean and accurate.

What would you load if there were no internet forums? ;)

Im really glad for the input from bullseye308.
I was thinking about the Gold Dot and BE-86 combo anyways, this is reassuring.

Interestingly enough, the 2 manuals I own, both are so old that Power Pistol, BE 86 or Longshot are not on there, Im assuming because they didnt exist yet. The data for 2400 is clearly for the old Hercules stuff (not the same as Alliant) and they distinguish a distinct difference between H110 and WIN 296; well we all know now they are the exact same thing, same powder from the same factory, just with a different name. Which leaves Blue Dot and Winchester 231.....have those powders really changed in say the last 25 years??

.44 mag and 296.

Ive never loaded WW296 with lead cast bullets.
Im guessing it pushes them a little too fast to make sense. I know that hardcast bullets that have a good hardness and are sized appropriately for the gun it might work, but ive only loaded WW296 in 44 magnum using jacketed bullets. Also, speculation that it burns hotter than other powders, and melting occurs on the back of the bullet causing leading as well, unless a gas check is used. But this is only what ive heard. It might not even be true.. I asked SNS what hardness are the bullets and whats the recommended max velocity. They responded brinell 17-18 and max Velocity 1,200fps.
