What should I sell, need to sell

Picture yourself 25 years from now...which one will you kick yourself for selling. Make a list in order of importance to you and sell your least favorite.

I sold a bunch of guns about 25 years ago, needed money for my first house. The only one I wish I hadn't sold was a Colt 1911 Series 70, unfired still in the box. (a tear is rolling down my cheek as I think of it). The rest I have no regrets about.

I'm in the same boat

After selling my collection (30 down to 15), IMHO you should sell:

The firearm that you have the least amount of investment in.

The firearm you have the least amout of ammunition for.

Sentamental value won't pay your bill(s) & having a firearm w/o ammo isn't going to do you any good either.

Keep the Mak & Saiga. The Mak is a triple duty (food, SD, SHTF) weapon, & the shotgun serves bug duty.

Just my two cents.... good luck!

I don't believe the VZs use regular AK mags, so I'd sell that. They're also a high priced item thus filling the coffers a little more. More money since it is unfired. I'm sorry you feel the need to do this, but I was there once and feel your pain. Once sold off a S&W model 66 to make ends meet(plus a few more). But bounced back and picked up a 686 for a song. I hope you have the same luck. At least you have others to fall back on. I didn't. I have a Saiga 7.62x39 and a .410 for the wife, they're very versatile. I'd keep those and any other AK based firearm because you can do anything to them. But they function well in sporter version as well. Keep the .223 because that ammo is more widespread(normally, current times don't count!). Same with the .308, a NATO round. Those are my thoughts for what they're worth.

I'd ditch the VZ-58....Unless you want to sell the MAK to me for a really good price.:) Also, if you haven't even fired the VZ yet, how do you know if it is any good? The MAK is reliable, and it takes real AK mags. I would DEFINATELY keep the MAK.

If I would sell anything, it'd be the polymer lower. Mainly because I don't see much use for it compared to a normal, cheaper forged stripped lower. And of course, if you're hurting on money, I doubt you'd be completing it any time soon...

But as said, try to avoid it.

I know it's tough. I sell stuff all the time, and then impulse buy others, and find myself gun-poor and needing real dollars. Guns can't legally be used to pay for groceries. I feel your pain, bro.
Sell the one that ammo is either in scarce supply, or you don't have a lot of it.
Steve
