I have a couple of Weaver scope mounts for my boys Rossi rimfire rifles that need longer replacement screws. I e-mailed Weaver to find out what size screws they use and was told it was a 8-40 screw. It ain't! Too big. I know what length I need but not size (#6?) and thread count. Any of you good people know what size it REALLY is before I order more useless screws
