What spare parts (other than magazines) should be kept in reserve for a Sig 226?

Go to TopGunSupply.cim or Brownells and order a rebuild kit, a recoil and hammer spring. . The rebuild kit will come with all of the springs and roll pins except for the hammer spring and maybe the recoil spring.

I haven't seen one; I was able to muddle through mine with little problem.

Caveat: I was the kid that took dad's drill apart and had it work when I reassembled it.

Springs. I've broken the old style arched trigger bar spring in two SIGs I had. Newer ones have a coiled spring similar in operation to a mousetrap and are supposed to be more durable.
