I am considering buying a SIG 226. I have several 226s I am looking at. None are the Navy version.

Is it worth it to save up for the Navy version? Are there any major differences in the regular 226 and 226 Navy?

Any issues to be aware of regarding the 226 pistols?

The P226 navy has some special anti-corosion coatings on the internal parts.
The slide is nitron coated stainless like all modern Sig's. The frame is standard alloy. Of course there's the neat little anchor laser etched into the slide, and $50 dollars goes to a fund that benifits spouses of special forces operators.
I didn't know there were any left.
You should be aware that the P226 is one of the finest pistols made.
I have a well worn P226 9mm that is one sweet pea shooter. I just bought a P226 stainless .40 that I think is even better than the 9mm.
Both are 100% reliable.
Sig pistols have a unique arangement of controls which I like but others do not. Sig P series pistols are the only ones that I can reach all the controls without shifting my grip.
