What thread type? M13.5x1LH, 1/2x32, 1/2x28 or other?

Purchasing threaded barrels for my 9mm's and .40 cals. I don't have a suppressor yet but I'm going to the hush-indiana suppressor event and I hope to try some out.

I noticed that there are several types of threads available for threaded barrels.

Storm lake offers 3 types of threads for my 9mm sig P226 alone:

1/2x32
1/2x28
M13.5x1LH

Glock factory barrel is M13.5x1LH

Do most suppressors fit the 13.5x1LH or are they all over the board?

There is no industry standard for pistol barrels, that's part of the reason most manufacturers have gone to interchangeable boosters that way you can go from on thread pattern to another.

So you can get a .45 suppressor that will go on your factory H&K pistol to your Glock 9mm and then to your Sig 9mm and even a fixed barrel adapter to put it on a Colt 9mm AR.

Most pistol 9mm suppressors are either in the American Standard thread (1/2x28) or the Euro Standard (13.5x1 LH). I prefer the Euro Standard. The bullet spins concentric with the direction the suppressor tightens, effectively preventing your suppressor from coming loose. The left hand threads also add a shelf on which on o-ring will help keep your can on.

If you're going to use your suppressor on only pistols, then 13.5x1 LH would be fine. I have however gone with 1/2 x 36 for almost all of my9mm stuff so I can use it on my 9mm AR as well as my pistols. Makes it easier that way. However, my .45 is 16 x 1 LH running on a Kriss Super V and HK .45

I went with the LH threads. I like the glock factory barrels due to them not being threaded all the way to the end. My Osprey has an O ring in it. There have been reports that barrels threaded all the way to the end chew up the O ring. I have confirmed this by comparing my buddy's Osprey used with a Storm Lake to mine. My O ring is in much nicer shape.
