What To Do About Campus Carry

When I was in law school I carried everyday, same as before school, and now that I'm done.

I lived on a street where girls would walk back and forth from campus to their housing. The street lights were continually shot out with air rifles (to better facilitate predation and drug dealing). The neighborhood bordered an area reminicient of Fallujah. Several friends and I took to sitting on our balconies with lawncahirs and rifles. For some reason the crime rate went down. The local PD didn't really have any problem with this.

LOL that's awesome. This must've been in the good ole' days because I know if I tried that I'd get swarmed by the police.
Get a paddle holster, and you do carry a back pack? then the gun goes in the back pack in school, when you get ready to go home, slip on the paddle and all is good. Just make damn sure that back pack goes EVERYWHERE you do once you get there, to the john, to the coffee pot, you do not ever want an uncontrolled firearm on the campus.
I had Dan Wesson 357 in my back pack the last two years in College and when I was in grad school. I got in the habit of keeping my money in the little pocket of the back pack so that I to take it with if I needed a coke or something.

Pete, I do carry a backpack
The way I carry(usually pocket) allows for my gun not to be noticed from even careful observation. For now I will not carry, but I think that I will speak with the Public Safety Officer(campus police chief) and first see what he thinks. If he thinks its cool as long as I keep it on the low, I will procede to write the President. If, on the other hand, he gives me a hard time and
, I might leave it at that, or call campus security to escort me to and from classes..of course campus escorts do not carry firearms. 
Guess they could be a meatshield

I'm going to be in the same situation this coming August. I found out that my department is somewhat Anti-"sport utility and handgun" but not Anti-"hunting gun" so I don't think I'd want to take that sort of risk without their support. If they'd defend me if it came down to a hearing with the school, that would be one thing.
I think I'm going to end up leaving everything at the Police station on campus.

The political crap on our college campi has reached a point of being absolutely disgusting. My advice for being on the Dean's list each term: just nod you head, parrot you professors and come up with you own ideas on your own time. It works made straight As once I quit fighting them openly.
Mark the anti SUV department would have me tricking out a bronco to look like Ted Nugent's zebra stripe beast. But if you did that I guess your GPA would suffer. What petty tyrants.
Well the happy news is once you get out and into the working world, nobody cares what your GPA was!
