I cannot find hardly anything on the value of the old semi-auto COLT - FRANCHI 12 gauge semi-auto shotguns. I have the opportunity to buy one in 95% condition but have no idea what they run and don't want to get taken.

32" barrell, 3" shells, good condition. Wood looks good, most of bluing looks good. Has leather sling.

Anywhere from $290-415, according to condition. Might fine gun. It was made between 1964-66 by Franchi. It was made in 28, 30, and 32" lengths. For some reason, the book value of the plain barrel is greater than the vent rib model. Unusual! Other than the long barrel, I would be all over this piece. I like my barrels around 24-26" but if you like long barrels, go for it if you can get the price right.

In 95% condition, offer $350. You might get lucky.

I don't get to far from home

Around here the Franchi of that type does not command a lot of resale value, the Colt might help some and so might the 3" mag. here at home I would say $150 to $300.

The Franchi is an often overlooked copy of my favorite, THE A5, it has been around for a lot of years, and will around for many more.

But as for the question of price it is what the market will bare, and how long it might sit on the shelf at the price it has. If you are buying try to guage the interest of the would be buyers, wait to long and it goes home with some else, or if it is on the shelf for a while offer something that is more in your range.

Big Al, thanks for the comment. Book value and what it can sell for is a different animal.

P95, keep us updated.
