I replaced an early Gen4 G22 with a Gen4 G21 and never looked back. This is the only “G” that I own that still has its stock sights, worked fine from the get go as is, so I left it alone. I have the large beavertail backstrap on mine, which works with my large mitts. With the exception of a Pachmayr GripGlove, it is still bone stock, no need to make changes, just plenty of range practice to get it to shoot for me.
Although my Sig P226 in .40 S&W is a nice shooter, a .45 ACP caliber service pistol is just a better alternative for me than most of the forties that I have owned or tried.
