What type of hearing protection do you use?

I usually use earplugs, but recently bought a pair of Leight electronic earmuffs.

Two types

Ear plugs and/or liquid filled earmuffs. Depends on my mood.

I use Radians electronic earmuffs mostly, but sometimes regular earmuffs. The background noise at indoor shooting ranges can be bothersome with the electronic muffs.

No option for "both plugs and muffs". I usually use only plugs, but occasionally use both. My 12 year old is particularly noise sensative and he usually does both.

I use Zem hearing protection muffs from NRA. They work great. But I'm not sure if they are muffs or plugs or something else altogether.

I use plugs for clays shooting and muffs for everything else. If I'm near someome with a really loud gun, I wear plugs under my muffs.

Shotgun target loads aren't very loud. But rifles/handguns firing bullets at supersonic speeds produce quite a loud crack. Guaranteed to destroy your hearing if you don't protect it.

Other, since I use muffs and plugs for range time. For hunting, it's muffs, soon hopefully to be electronic muffs.

I wear plugs when when I shoot clays, muff for everything else and when I hunt, I, stupidly, rarely wear hearing protection.

Plugs, how my jaw bone and skull come together produces a nice gap with nearly all muffs I've tried.

Plugs, always.
Earmuffs get in the way when I shoot a long-gun because I can't lie my face against the comb.
My father has some of the electronic muffs, and I think they're cool, but they still have the same problem I described.

i use the battery powered caldwells that are green in color they are very nice, they were a xmas gift and i am so glad that i was given a set because otherwise i probally would have never used a set. you can hear when people are talking just normal and you can change the sensativity and then when you are shooting or a rd gors off it muffles it good.

I can not stand wearing muffs. I use plugs only. The plugs I have are better than 90% of the muffs anyways. They are made by slinseco (SP) they have a NRR 38 db.

I have a hard time with muffs touching the stock of the rifle. Then they make my ears sweat and I can not stand that.

Usually just ear muffs, but if I feel like putting plugs in too I will. Though sometimes the muffs get in the way so I only use plugs.

well...

...if I don't need to hear anything, plugs and muffs...If I do, just a set of Sonic Ear Valves...I'm gonna' get some 'tronic stuff, but I keep spendin' my money on guns and ammo before I get to that aisle...
