What Type Of .22 Ammo Do you Prefer ??

CCI mini-mag HP is my go-to .22LR ammo; although it has become dang expensive in the last couple of years I still buy it. Federal Champion is the only bulk pack I've found to be even approaching the reliability and accuracy of CCI and when the kids are shooting or if I'm just plinking around I'll use the Federal.

Federal Champion 40 gr solids
Federal bulk is also acceptable
I've sworn off Remington Golden Bullets entirely. Many, many misfires

I use Federal bulk packs. I had several bad (more than 1 misfire per 30) boxes of Remington gold bulk packs and have quit using them. I like Aguila for the subsonics.

My CZ Ultra Lux Benchrest gun only gets fed Wolf MT/SK Standard plus or Eley Target.
My Ruger MKIII gets fed like a goat and eats anything but i prefer anything Federal for cheap ammo and CCI Blazers, But for accuracy it does fine with any Match ammo thats subsonic.

Remington Golden Bobbleheads should be thrown in the nearest trash can.

Marlin 60 LOVES Remington Golden Bullets bulk pack.

For everything else, the Federal bulk is my to go plinking ammo.

For hunting, its hard to beat CCI Mini Mag HPs for damage and velocity retention. For close shots, Stingers are unbeatable.

I must say the Federal bulk pack has been a surprise, they seem to function well, with reasonable accuracy in everything, with few to no duds.

The only 22lr ammo I shoot anymore is the Wolf Match Target. Upon realizing what it actually is I've been stocking up on it. It's made on the same like as the SK Match and uses Vihtavouri powder, Lapua Brass and Bullets. And at less than a dime each including shipping when on sale I'll be buying more. The most accurate 22lr round at any price that I've found.

This is the most accurate .22lr I have found. Works well in my 10.22, Henry U/L and also my CZ452. The bullets are also lubed.

I have 4 .22lr rifles and 3 hand guns. They all like something different. If it's just for killing pop cans, about anything will do. If it's for one hole groups at 50 yrds, my CZ-452 Ultra Lux likes CCI Green Tags. ($17.00 for 100.). I have some old Win T22 ammo that's really accurate. Also, I have a bulk pack of Win DynaPoints that is surprisingly accurate. Paid $7.98 for it a few years ago. Many shooters don't like Rem Golden Bullets but they work ok for me. To see what your gun likes, try buying as many different 50 rnd boxes as you can find. You won't get stuck with a lot of ammo you gun hates. When you find the right ammo, your gun will tell you.

It all depends what fire arm I using and distance. My 10/22 eats anything up but hates most winchester brand. Loves Fiocchi high velocity at 200 yds. Most consistent shots with Fiocchi on clay targets at that distance. If I'm hunting it doesn't matter, the jack rabbit cannot out run my 25 rd magazine. You can actually see how muscular my trigger finger is after emptying a 25 rd magazine in 2 seconds.

Winchester black box target 40 grain standard velocity in my CZ 452 and also subsonics seem to do well in the CZ 452....I can get about dime sized groups at 50 yards. Hivelocity stuff gives me larger groups.

My browning Buck Mark does best with Federal AutoMatch....very few functioning problems.

I prefer the ammo which shoots the tightest groups out of my gun, then I buy bricks of it.

My CZs and Buckmark pistol shoot CCI Standard the best. The Trailside and Smith 41 prefer Eley, and Buckmark rifle shoots Wolf. Still testing out the Marvel 1911 conversion. All of them shoot the CCI standard velocity well, so if I had to pick one round that would be it.

If I'm plinking at cans and such (Marlin 39, Marlin 70PSS, Browning SA) I'll use Federal bulk pack and it seems to work well, but I haven't benched any of those and done the various ammo brand accuracy tests with them.

The joy of shooting a .22 is IMO that it is a very inexpensive round. So I stick with the bulk packs, with Federal being my favorite.

It depends on what I'm shooting at any give moment and what I hope to accomplish during a particular range session, but I've never, ever been disappointed shooting Mini-Mags. They work all the time, and in every single .22 caliber handgun or rifle I've run them through.

Another vote for Federal Bulk pack. Of the 6 or so other types I've tried, the Federal is the most reliable in the Buckmark, with Centurion being right behind. I have a CZ cadet kit for my PCR that eats anything.

They all shoot minute of steel plate.
