Ruger GP100 4" Stainless. Just got it a little over a month ago. Worst part about owning it is wondering why I'd never owned a Revolver before. I would consider this to my first of many based on how much I love this thing.

Taurus 83 4" Satin. Bought it cheap in bad shape. Cleaned it up and love it. My son-in-law has already put in his claim for it when I am gone . . .

This is the first revolver I bought. A brass framed Uberti 44 caliber 'Navy'. When I turned 18 (in 1968, so the math is easy to do) I found out that it was legal in NJ, where I grew up, for an 18 year old to own a Cap & Ball revolver. So I borrowed my Dad's car and drove down to Ridgefield, where Navy Arms had its showroom. I'm pretty sure it cost $60.

This is the first cartridge revolver I bought, a S&W Model 17-3 bought brand, spanky new in 1975. It cost $125 at the time.

That same year I bought this S&W Model 19-3 and this Ruger Blackhawk convertible with 45 Colt and 45 ACP cylinders. Can't really remember which I bought first, but the Model 19 cost $135 and the Ruger with both cylinders cost $150. A lot of money for a 25 year old kid back then.

P.S. Yes I still have all of them.

My first revolver was a Ruger Single Six convertible in stainless steel with a 6 inch barrel, wood grips with fixed sights. My dad, though unemployed at the time, managed to buy it brand new for me when I was 16. The first I bought with my own money was a Smith and Wesson Model 657, 6.5 inch. I was twenty at the time, and had to get my dear late grandfather to ride to the gun store and do the paperwork for me. I still have both of them, and will never let them go.

First revolver was my first handgun (I'd owned several rifles and a shotgun before): A Taurus 66CP4 (Medium Frame, 6 shot .357 with a 4" compensated barrel.

    And the answer is.....

Ruger Single Six, .22 WMR only, New Model.

Still own it, accuracy surpassed only by my Ruger MarkII bull barrel target.

Very first was given to my by my grandmother. She found an old RG23 in the closet that was my grandfathers, the action was hard as hell even in single action. It didn't shoot straight so I ended up getting rid of it several years later.

First one I ever bought was an ASM 1861 navy, loved that gun.

After i finish my AR project my next purchase will be a revolver of some kind I'm sure.

Ruger Single Six, .22lr/.22wmr, 5.5" blued. Traded towards my second handgun, a 7.5" Ruger Super Blackhawk .44mag a couple years later when they legalized handguns for deer hunting in Ohio.
