This is for a Sig MPX 5.56 with 11.5" barrel and suppressor. Mostly used for plinking, close range hunting, and HD if it comes to that. I do have a astigmatism so I've decided to stay away from the Trijicon MRO and Aimpoint Pro that I earlier was looking at.

What would you choose for my set up: Leupold VX-R 1.25-4X with Firedot or Trijicon Accupower 1-4X?

And where is a good place to purchase these? Do they ever go on sale?

Hard one ! The Leupold has a great warranty forever and their customer service is very good. Trijicon is pretty good , but not comparable with the cheaper Leupold which seems just as bright to me in a side by side trial I did.

I like the loopy a bit better for my ar and the way i use it . I went with the 1.25x4 Hog model as a hunting/defense friendly reticle .

I vote Leupold VX-R - and I'm no fan boy. But looking though that scope made me want one for some rifle. I will get one, and it'll be my first Leupold :)

I have a vxr patrol 1.25-4 on my AR it's really good glass for the price and the firedot is nice on low power.

I'm sure the trijicon is nice but I'm betting for the price the leupold is the better deal over all.
