What would you do with a little extra $

I have a little money to spend and was wondering what you would get next chronograph or automatic powder dispenser? My two choices so far are PACT Model 1 XP Chronograph with Improved Skyscreen Mounting Bracket for the chronograph and the RCBS ChargeMaster 1500 Powder Scale and Dispenser Combo 110 Volt for the powder dispenser. I would have to keep saving a little longer to get the powder dispenser.

I have just started reloading and feel the dispenser would be more useful right now, but that is my novice mind thinking.

Depends on the type of load you're looking for. If you're working up a hot load the chrono would be nice. If you're looking for accuracy of charges and ease of loading the scale would be handier. Keep in mind that powder charges can be off by a bit before any noticeable accuracy is lost.

I'd opt for the chrono because it opens up possibilities in load development. You don't expand your capabilities with the RCBS.

IMO a Chrono will tell you more about the ammo you are producing than you think it will. I also feel it's a great tool for load development and will make you a better reloader.

I'd get a chrony. The auto powder scale dispenser thingy is nice I suppose but I would rather trust myself to use a manual powder drop over a machine- and if you are doing bench-rest match accuracy it's not like it saves you time or anything- you will still want to confirm the charge.

I went chrony. I figure I can put up with a little hassle to throw and check consistent charges but all the targets and brass reading in the world wouldn't give me the specific data the chrony does.

I'd go for the chrono if you already have a way of measuring powder. To me the chronograph should be considered mandatory equipment for any reloader.

I would by the scale, as a matter of fact I'll be off work for the next 6-8 weeks, so my wife and i went to the bank and broke a CD paid of a coulpel of small loans, a car repair bill and, bought a new bed for our unoffical foster son. Then I figgered that i'll be home all this time I can go ahead And get the new dillon powder measer for the big run off .223 I'm going to do.
Well my new powder measer is pay for my son's birthday party tonight.

I wanted a brass trimmer at first. On further reflection I decided on a CMP purchase. I want a Garand while they are still available.

Had a bit of extra money on payday and bought some 7.62x39 from Ammoman. I wanted to get in on the 7.62x39 while it still was under $200 per 1,000. Also picked up a bit of 8mm. I don't reload either of these calibers and I am afraid where prices might continue to go.

I am also slowly but surely buying components before they get out of control.

Too late. Ridiculous is the word I would use. At the rate component prices keep rising, it will surely kill reloading altogether. Hilary must be assuming power already.
