what would you get?

hornet. but im on the east coast killing groundhogs which is kinda different from p-dogs. i seldom shoot over 150 yards, and seldom kill more than 5-10 in a day. a good day!

I had way too much fun with my buddies 22-250. That would be my choice. Very accurate and we were shooting about 100-150 yards. Although, 223 ammo is going pretty cheap right now.

243 would be good, but here in our state, we can use anything 30 caliber or smaller for coyotes. Frankly, so far, I have not been very impressed with the anchoring power of the .223 for coyotes, and usually use my Browning Blr .308, and sometimes my 25-06 or even a model 94 30/30.

I do have a 22/250 in a Browning BLr, that I purchased for coyote hunting but I have not yet, taken a coyote with it. But on hindsight, I would probably be just as happy with a .243

223 and 22-250 would be my top picks. The 220 Swift is a real hotrod. For varmints, the 243 would be as large as I would want to go.
