What would you like your gun to smell like?

Got a .22 rifle that smells like Murphy's Oil Soap, because I clean it with "Panther Piss" (a mixture of Murphy's Oil Soap, Peroxide and ???..Huh..I can't remember if it was alcohol or ammonia.

I made some of that up ..... it is tho actually intended mainly for BP clean-up .... and also good for after corrosive ammo in center fire rifles, handguns.

The formulation is ....

3 pts 3% peroxide
3 pts Rubbing (iso-propyl alcohol
2 pts Murphy's oil soap

Best stored in a light proof jug so as to reduce the speed of degredation of the peroxide content. Great brew!

What would I like my guns to smell like if I had a choice? Hmmm....

1) my pipe tobaccos (some of the aromatics would be OK, the English blends would be perfect)

2) Johnnie Walker Black Label or a nice single malt

3) amaretto

4) rich hardwoods

5) a nice cigar

6) fine leather
