Can someone tell me what year S&W went to frame mounted firing pins on all their center fire revolvers?

Frenchy is dead on, I read that they began the switch on the production line in Jan 1998 and had it complete for all models by AUG 98. Odessa

Kahr carrier - the MIM thumbpiece was first in 1997, the hammer was next (came in along with the frame mounted firing pins). The trigger followed the hammers, all done in most models by late 1998. Odessa
