I was looking at CZ over and under and SxS shotguns 12 and 20 gauge this week. They look nice for the price range. But are they durable and reliable now?

They are OK but not worth the price. A Beretta or Browning O/U would be a wiser investment in a double.

Ask this question again in 50 years and you may get the answer your searching for. Everything out there they are being compared to has been around at least that long. They fill a niche in the double market where there is no comparable "new" American competition. A lot of well established foreign brands of guns were considered "foreign junk" when first introduced in this country. Buy one, put 50K rounds through it, and let us know. :D

Not limited to shotguns. Think Honda motorcycles and cars. Americans like to trash talk out of ignorance, it seems. Now, GM and Chrysler are biting the dust. Ford is the only American left standing and still they trash talk Honda and Toyota.

I like the looks of the Yildiz at Academy. I'm STILL thinkin' I'd like to get one, though when I was going to pull the trigger on one, I found a Spartan SxS I decided I needed worse. That's the way it goes, I guess. That Spartan is great, but I still don't own an O/U. I suppose the CZs are fine. Some of these Turkish guns have a bad rep, but I have heard much good of the CZ and Yildiz. I swing more to the Yildiz due to the fact that Briley, in Katy, just up the road from me, does the warranty and service work on 'em.
