It is worth at least a Dollar more than the next guy is willing to pay for it

Along for the post is it’s darker companion, another 13-3. Personally I think the Model 10 sold for the right money. I wouldn’t take 1k for either one of mine. These are the only 2 Model 13’s with 3” Barrel that I’ve ever seen in person.

Bud’s was selling a bunch of 3” square butt model 10’s like 5 years ago. They were from some Australian PD. I think they were like 300 bucks. I got one, went to pick it up, and the condition was OK. Just normal holster wear. But the square butt didn’t look right in a 3” revolver, and I stupidly let it go. I wish I hadn’t done that.

A 3inch model 13 is my grail gun

Yeah that's something i'm contemplating as well. if I had a spare barrel sitting around I would cut it down and weld a sight on it then clean it all up, but I would be afraid to do that to the barrel on the gun in case I screwed it up...

I just listed a 3" Model 64 Barrel in the Classifieds. You can convert one now and not worry about screwing up your existing barrel

I'm not following that line of thinking ... To me $1000 is a lot of money for a carry gun. I do not carry junk ; for less that 1/2 that amount one can find a 2" K frame in very goon mechanical condition , every bit as reliable as a $1000 3". If I were to pony up for a high condition 3" like the one referenced by the OP I would not be holstering it daily and exposing it to the rigors of edc.

Of course , to each his own.

$1000 is too much for ME to spend on a carry gun, and my wife would probably kill me for spending it anyway... But nice stuff does cost money...
