Or a Colt with Pachmayr grip adapters. I bought some from Gun Parts Corp to be sure I'd like them. I have one on my Detective Special and one on my Official Police. I want to get a Tyler T grip for the OP, but they seem to be months behind after a business move.

Tyler is so behind that people are assuming that they just wont get there orders period... I look every day and hope to see "we have caught up! Come give us more orders"

sadly, i doubt it will happen.

I've been following the Tyler problems and also hope to see them get things back up and running. In recent years, I have ordered from them and usually had to wait about 6-8 weeks for my T-grip. Luckily, I have a few. I got lucky a while back and scored a NOS polished aluminum one off eBay for about 20 bucks. It came in a tiny cardboard box with their label on it. The way people are bidding on them it will soon be a 100 buck item if it already isn't.....I believe the orginal price on the box is 5 bucks.

Thank you VA.

That gun was NIB when I got it....It isn't anymore.:D I shot it less than 24 hours after carrying it home.

(not mine but one can dream)

I have one on my 27-2 3.5. It feels great in the hand, only way I could use magna grips. I have seen some over 250 on gunbroker. I can't pay anywhere near that much, would rather have combat grips every day of the week.

What are they and what's the significance of Tyler T's?

is it that piece forward of the handle? are they super comfy or recoil reducing?

pardon my noobity.

They look archaic but increase surface area of the gun grip.

That is best way to go for sure. Just make sure you keep original grips as S&W guys are as finicky about originality as are Parker Bros. collectors.:uhoh:

Unfortunately, due to the company's troubles T-Grip prices are approaching those of true, custom boot grips like Badger's.

And, for my hand, Jim Badger's grips are the cat's meow.

Two S&W's each with a Tyler T
Nope, THREE S&W's each with a Tyler T!

The demise of the T-Grip.

Unfortunately, Doc540 is right. If it were between some Badgers or a T-Grip, the Badgers win every time. Their prices are close and since the Badgers are a full grip and not just an adaptor they would get my money. I never thought I would see the day an aluminum grip ADAPTER would become a collectors item.
