Whats it worth?

Need a little help hear guys.I'm thinking of selling my Ruger .480 SuperRedHawk.What do you think its worth?I absolutely love this gun but I'm needing a smaller hand gun for personal defense and this ones a little to large.

I just need to know what would be afair price to ask for it.

Its a used Ruger .480 in very good condition.This thing is huge!! Has a 9 1/2 barrel and Nikon 2.5-8x28 Monarch UCC Handgun Scope mounted on it.

Thanks.The gun is in good shape.After i set the scope I've taken it hunting a few times and thats it.Hasn't been shot to many times.

Eh.. that seems a little low, assuming that scope is included. I'd say more like $800 would still be a pretty good price with the scope.

The revolver and the scope Retail out for $1,150 so $500/$600 is too low. I would agree that $800 is a fair asking price but I wouldn't go any lower than $750 for a final price.

Unless you really need the money to finance your next purchase I would keep your Super Redhawk. Since you obviously like Ruger you might want to buy a 2.25" barrel Ruger SP101 in .357 Magnum with a Spurless Hammer. http://www.ruger-firearms.com/Firearms/FAProdView?model=5720&return=Y
They can be found for just over $400 even though they Retail for $550.

If you want really small and light you might like a S&W J frame Airweight (not an AirLite) or a used K frame Snub Nose revolver.
