What's old is new again...

Henry has the .327 out I just don't like loading a tube, I would rather have a side gate.
The marlin is strong enough, I read articles on it being converted. It's just out of my price range to buy one then pay almost same price again to be converted.

I keep hoping for another mfg to make a .327 lever. But I will probably just wind up buying a Henry should be some good velocity out of a 20" barrel.

Looks good. I had the 4" and it was just a tad unwieldy. I get the idea. It's sort of a super hot kit gun. The 3" makes sense.

I still think a 3" lcrx in .327 would be the cat's meow.

IMO the .327 Federal Magnum never took off because of the platforms it was originally released in. Add the fact ammo was very difficult to find, it never did take off. Since the beginning I was saying if the .327 was available in a SA revolver and more so in a carbine like the Marlin levergun it would have taken off. Both would make great small game guns for the field, around the farm and woods carry.

Right now I'm using a Marlin 94 in .357 Magnum along with a 5.5" Ruger Vaquero in .357 for woods carry and small game. I feel the .327 Magnum would do that job better but the option isn't available.

Of late, I have not had trouble finding 327 Fed Magnum ammunition on line although I'm sure it is at a price many folks are not willing to deal with. Most of the ammunition I shoot is available at my local reloading press.

I got one the Henry 327 Fed Magnum rifles recently and while I'd prefer a loading gate, it is a good companion for my Single Seven and SP101 327 Fed Magnum revolvers. I can live with the magazine as it is. The fit and finish on the Henry is good. Hopefully, I'll get some time to shoot it during the next month.

It is my first Henry rifle. I'm hoping for good things as I'm interested in some of their other models.

My backwoods companions are a Rossi Model 92 and a Beretta Stampede, both in .45 Colt. You're right though; a .327 Magnum set-up with a lever action carbine and a revolver would be a great combo for small game.

Wish someone made an affordable lever action for it, I know marlin once made an 1894 in .32 h&r mag wonder if it can be converted to .327 mag or if the pressures are too great.
I don't think pressure would be the issue. Getting that long .327 cartridge to feed would probably require modification or even redesign of the internals.

I'd really like to get one of these but it's a few guns down on the list. Hopefully they're still making it by the time I'm ready to get it.

Heck, I wish somebody would just make an affordable lever action in .357 magnum. All the manufacturers seem to think nobody has wanted to buy such a thing since 2012. 44 magnums and 45 colts are everywhere, but to the best I can determine only Henry is selling one in .357 these days. Damn tubular magazine..

I'm looking for an affordable 1873 carbine in .45 that won't make me sell a kidney

I want. I've been enjoying 3-inchers. I have a real nice 3-inch stainless Taurus 85 I'm very impressed with, kind of a "poor man's" SP-101.

I, too, was afraid for the longevity of the .327 FM round. Even turned down a Single Six in the caliber for what was probably a good price a year or so back.

I think now it's gonna be around for a bit. After all, .32 H&R still is.

That's what I thought about the .32 H&R when it first came out. Had a couple of Rugers chambered for it but started to get concerned when I couldn't find any ammo for them (pre-Internet days). Kind of made me hesitant to jump on the .327 Magnum bandwagon again. Would like to see some manufacturer turn out a .327 Magnum carbine to pair up with the revolvers out there.

Looks like my email to Ruger worked! Don't thank me, it was the least I could do. Now, if I can just get my hands on one! I was hoping for the Novak rear sights but prefer the rear groove sight over the rear "blade" sights for carry.
