(2-27) 13:19 PST HEALDSBURG -- An armed man wearing a black, ninja-style mask was shot to death by a Healdsburg man this morning after he attacked the man's wife outside their home and chased her inside, police said.

The shooting happened about 7:30 a.m. at the end of Sunset Drive, a semi-rural street on the east side of town.

The woman was about to take the couple's two Wheaton terrier dogs for a walk when the masked man jumped her outside her garage, police said. The woman struggled, broke away and ran screaming into the house, with the attacker in pursuit.

Her screams awoke her husband. The man, whom police identified only as a man in his 60s, "grabbed their handgun, probably a .357 ... and fired more than one shot," Police Chief Susan Jones said.

The intruder "had what looked like a firearm in his hand," Jones said. He died at the scene. His identity has not been released.

"The husband is fine. He's uninjured," Jones said. "The wife is being treated for a head injury that she sustained sometime during the struggle, but she's going to be fine."

Jones said the intruder may have been hiding behind some garage cans, waiting for someone to emerge from the home.

The chief said the incident "is completely out of the blue" for the town.

"Actually, our crime has been down this year. This is really unusual," she said. "It's really frightening if this is a random act."

LOL! Man, that ninja sucks. The ones I've seen can dodge bullets... or at least deflect them with their swords!

I don't know about ninjas, but for pirates - who are infinitely cooler - you want grapeshot.

remember that video of the guy who had the ninja mask and would jump out in front of people? wonder if that was this guy, just playing pranks.

btw, whatever caliber you use against this ninja, you'll need to double it if you are up against me, the fattest ninja ever!

That couldn't have been a real ninja.

Ninjas are sooooooooooo sweet that I want to [deleted by moderator]. I can't believe it sometimes, but I feel it inside my heart. These guys are totally awesome and that's a fact. Ninjas are fast, smooth, cool, strong, powerful, and sweet. I can't wait to start yoga next year. [Deleted by moderator]

Agreed. Ninjas are too fast for pistol calibers, if you wish to defeat a ninja, you must use a hi powered rifle!:neener:

Pistol calibers work. You've just got to have something loaded supersonic, So they can't hear the bullet coming. It's got to sneak up on them. :D

The Official Pirate Manual states on Page 13, right column, middle of page: "As ninjas are supremely cool, strong, smart, sweet and quick while they flip out and kill people, you must use a weapon no smaller than a 12-pound cannon in order to guarantee a single-shot stopping of the target. Any lesser caliber will most likely result in a pissed off ninja flipping out and killing your worthless, lame, weak and slow pirate personage."

And like the Woodchuck Guidebook, you just know that the Official Pirate Manual is never, EVER wrong!

IF you are a ninja then….

There is no appropriate caliber for ninjas. True ninja use swords, fists, smoke bombs and throwing stars. Only an inferior ninja of the mall would use a firearm. True ninja are too cool to need firearms

If you are hunting ninja then…;)

Area of effect weapons work nicely. A 75mm medium velocity vehicle mounted cannon would be a good start. You need to be sure to have the ‘thermal imagers’ that can see through walls because ninja in the wild are very difficult to spot. The copperhead laser guided rounds are better because other wise the ninja will dodge your fire. Or you can get rid of your ninja infestations by hiring the local tong to ‘clean’ them up. Expect to pay a premium price though. Do negotiate a fixed price package deal. Paying by the head will lead to you going broke and not being able to pay the tong. Then you’ll end up with ninja and axemen after you.

ninja seeking revenge
http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercu...s/14013361.htm
News in brief from California's North Coast
Associated Press

HEALDSBURG, Calif. - The ninja.m.asked man shot to death earlier this week by a Healdsburg homeowner was seeking revenge for being fired several years ago from a Southern California casino, police said.

Police identified the dead man as David Ferguson, 47, of San Diego. He apparently stalked Lou Phillips for at least several months before going to his home on Monday morning, dressed in black and wearing a ninja mask, police said.

Ferguson was carrying bindings, tape, tarps, a blindfold and, for some reason, a pocket full of hot dogs when he was shot dead while struggling with Phillips' wife.

Ferguson was chief financial officer for the tribal government operating the Viejas casino east of San Diego when Phillips was hired as chief executive in the late 1990s.

Phillips fired Ferguson after his job performance came into question, according to Healdsburg police.

The use of firearms on ninja's has been found to be ineffective, in most cases. (see below) Most professional ninja fighters prefer a Koto katana. Tastes vary, but the Sakaido Road blades have found favor among a select few. Chikuzen and Nami no Hira blades to be specific. Recently, in an affront to age old tradition, certain elements of the United States Marine Corps have found the Rifle, M-1 to be a useful tool, used in conjunction with the Ka- Bar knife and fragmentation grenade.

The only place to settle this...

Of particular note...

The Inverse Ninja Law
The Inverse Ninja Law (or Inverse Ninja Theory) is credited to game designer Aaron Pavao of Sancho Games.

The theory states that as a group of ninjas increases in members each individual ninja loses some of their power, but as the group decreases in members each individual ninja gains more power. In other words, the Inverse Ninja Law states that the Sum Ninja Effectiveness = 1/Ninjas. It is based upon those countless scenes in movies, cartoons, and anime where a group of ninjas is quickly dispatched with ease, but a lone ninja is nigh undefeatable.

The theory has been used to make the claim that pirates simply cannot defeat ninjas ever. As one scholarly reader of PiratesVersusNinjas.net states, as pirates begin to defeat the ninjas, the ninja strength increases such that the last standing ninja will be able to fight off all pirates. However, the reader also states that the ninjas can always employ the tactic of splitting up, thus becoming many sole ninjas (each being unconquerable) instead of a one mass group of easily defeated ninjas.

So since its ninjas, and not A ninja youve asked about, I think this warrants serious discussion.:p
